How to fix issues with MSN, Hotmail, Outlook and Livemail

$

Recently users have been reporting sudden issues with their Outlook, Livemail, MSN and Hotmail account in Mailbird.

These accounts simply stopped working, it can’t receive or send email anymore. Attempts to add new accounts may also fail.

It turns out, this issue is caused by Microsoft’s upgrade process. They are migrating to a new Outlook.com, which may cause issues for some users.

Microsoft has listed more details on these problems here.

The workaround that we suggest for now is to create an application specific password for your account following this link.

After that simply remove the account and add it again in Mailbird, but this time, use the new application specific password that you have generated.

If this does not work, we will have to wait for Microsoft’s to release their suggestions on fixing the error.

If you have any questions about the issue itself or how to generate the application specific password, please drop us a line in the comment section or simply send us an email.

Approximately 74 trillion emails are sent every year, with 1.8 million more emails sent in 2017 and expected furthered growth in 2018 (281 billion emails per day). These numbers were taken out of the Communicator Email Benchmark Report for 2017 and the Radicati Group Email Statistics Report for 2018. The reason we are providing you with these statistics is to show you how vital managing your enterprise’s corporate email is in today’s fast-paced business world.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   In this article, we are going to provide you with information on two crucial subjects regarding email management:
  1. Choosing an enterprise email service provider
  2. Selecting an email client
Each business is different, which is why we will feature the best options available to you on the market today. You can read our short analysis and make an informed decision. Additionally, we are going to explain in detail the benefits you can reap for your company when you’re using an adequate email client.

Find the best enterprise email service provider for your business

Emails are the core of business communication and discovering the best enterprise email service provider can change the way you conduct business. However, finding the right email service provider is not an easy task. There are many picks on the market, and all of them are offering similar features. That’s the reason why we decided to inform you about the top two possible options for email providers in the business community.   The first one is the front-runner that dominated the enterprise’s corporate email scene since it was introduced on the market, and that’s Google’s G Suite. It was developed as an answer to the famous Microsoft’s Outlook, our second pick, and the G Suite delivered on almost every front. There are three price packages that you as a company owner can choose from, and the basic one begins at $5 per month. You will get full integration of the most used business tools, complete import of your other inboxes, large storage in the Google Drive with the incredibly useful Google docs and 24/7 support, to mention a few of the positives. G Suite is undeniably providing an excellent service as a good email for businesses.   Our second top choice for an email service provider is Microsoft’s Outlook. The best Outlook feature is the attachment size limitation, which goes up to 50MB. Furthermore, the size of the storage space in the inbox is 1TB, and as G Suite, it offers integration of all your other email accounts. The interface is simple and clean, which makes it very easy for users. One more useful feature that companies like are the app-based integrations. The price is set at $6.99 per month. Additionally, if you’re searching for more options for an email service provider, you can take a look at:
  1. Yahoo Mail
  2. AOL Mail
  3. GMX
  4. Zoho Mail
  5. iCloud
  6. Protonmail

Manage your enterprise mail with an email client

Even a small investment in the right email client can be a game changer for a startup company or an evolved business that requires better email management. The goal is to make the process simpler, faster and more efficient, while at the same time eliminating the room for error.   Building a fruitful relationship with your clients and customers requires trust and timeliness. In any industry, a quick reply and the proper attention from your provider is appreciated above everything else when you’re a buyer. This is where the email client comes in to help you take care of your consumers in the best possible way.   The unified inbox feature gives you a preview of every email you receive in your enterprise email inbox. For example, an email client that features a unified inbox with colour indicators will provide you with an option to see which email comes from what account. This feature single-handedly can keep your inbox neat and organised, which will save your valuable time for more important daily tasks.   If the customers are happy with your service, the possibility for acquiring more grows exponentially and, as we said at the beginning of this section, quickly responding to their emails will make that happen. Nobody wants a slow reply, and emails are not an exception to that rule. According to DMA Insight, 99 percent of people using an email service check it daily, some even 70 times a day, especially if they’re waiting for a response.   Another feature any good email client should have that might come in handy is the snooze button. Yes, there is a snooze button for email. The snooze button is a de-facto representation of the “I’ll come back to it later” approach, but with a handy twist. This means that you can click on any email and snooze it for later, which will relocate the email into a snooze folder (not visible in the email client). Then at a specified time, by you, the same email will come back to your inbox, and you’ll be reminded that you have to work on it. This feature allows you to focus only on the urgent ASAP emails in your inbox.   Other helpful productivity features that an email client can provide for your business are:
  • Contacts Manager
  • Drag & Drop of Attachment
  • Degoo
  • Attachment Search
  • Followup.cc
  • UnrollMe
  • Avatar Search
  • LinkedIn Lookup feature
  • Tagging Feature
In a study done in 2011 by Debra Meyerson at Stanford University called “E-Mail as a Source and Symbol of Stress”, it was found that the email inbox itself has become a symbol of anxiety and overload.   As a business owner, the last thing you would want is your enterprise mail to become a dreaded task for your employees. Furthermore, stressed people also tend to underperform at their jobs. The best approach would include making the work easier, flexible and faster for your team, and a well-organised inbox can help in that mission.

The most efficient email clients for enterprise email management

In this short analysis, we are going to focus on the three top-notch choices for email clients today, excluding G Suite and Outlook as we already discussed them above in the email provider section. Our picks are Airmail, Mozilla Thunderbird and Mailbird. Airmail is a Mac email client, and it’s famous for being quick and responsive, which explains why it’s advertised as “lightning-fast email client for Mac.” The other thing Airmail is renowned for is the design of the interface and the polished, beautiful look of the dashboard. Some of the excellent features of this email client are Markdown support for composing messages, HTML side-by-side interface for writing emails, the task-based inbox approach and app integration to mention a few. Mozilla Thunderbird is an easy email client to set up, and like all of the other Windows-based email clients, we describe here supports an unlimited number of email accounts. It’s a desktop service that allows you to keep a backup of all your emails and helps you with the management of your calls, meetings and other appointments because of its support for multiple calendars. However, the Mozilla Thunderbird email client has some of its key features rely on third-party extensions, and the interface is not very user-friendly in the beginning. Mailbird is also a Windows-based email client that supports an unlimited number of email accounts with a thoughtfully designed interface that allows for easy navigation and intuitive understanding for beginners. Apart from the original productivity features that come with the email client like Contacts Manager, Followup.cc, Attachment Search and others, Mailbird offers full integration with almost all of the popular business and productivity apps from Slack to Asana. The list of features integrated into Mailbird is extensive because, as we said in the beginning, every company needs something slightly different. Some of the perks of using Mailbird are also the wide range of customisation options and the multi-language support (17 languages) that are available for each user.

Keeping up with the updates in enterprise email solutions

As your company grows, the technology you’re using has to grow with you. Otherwise, you might encounter unnecessary difficulties and technical problems that can damage your business. In the words of Microsoft: “Enterprise email accounts ensure that your email service becomes an extension of your communication strategy.” Besides, if you’re using an email service client, you want one that can keep up with you and the OS and Windows updates.   The email client you should choose for your business should be committed to the continuous upgrading and updating of its features and integrations. The app integration module is a necessary option for an email client that strives to be one of the best enterprise email solutions in the industry. A proficient email client would be fully integrated with the productivity apps your employees are using like Asana, Slack, Moo.do, Todoist, Apper. In, Degoo, Google Apps and others.   Productivity apps are an integral part of any modern business community, and the email integration option will make everyone in your company more dynamic. Motivating people to stay connected or to respond to tasks faster is another smart way of boosting the overall efficiency of the staff.   Integration with productivity apps and the features of the email account itself are what defines how good an email client is and how beneficial it will be to you as a business owner. What your company needs is full integration and syncing between the email accounts and other business tools, so your employees can focus on the task at hand.   In the U.S., more than 85 percent of adults send or read emails, and this data can give you a pretty good picture of how essential emails are. Finding a high-quality email client that can help you manage your enterprise’s corporate email the right way should be at the top of your list.      Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

The Top 3 Small Businesses Email Providers

As a small business owner, you probably have many tasks and obligations on your plate. Each of these responsibilities can have an impact on your business in one form or another. That is why gathering accurate and crucial information on the proper subject can help you make an informed decision. If you’re thinking about which email provider is the best pick for your company, you came to the right place.   In order to make the selection process more manageable, we have prepared a short analysis of the top three small businesses email providers.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   Choosing the right email provider can be an extremely crucial decision, especially if your business has the potential for scalability or if you’re working in the digital field. Because every small company has different needs, size and end-goals, what might work for one business can be utterly wrong for another. With that in mind, we urge you to make a quick analysis of your own and identify your company’s email requirements before making a choice.   The three highly efficient email providers that filled a spot on our list are:
  1. Google G Suite (Google’s Apps for Work)
  2. Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook)
  3. Zoho
In each of the following sections, you will see that we start out with the price of the email service provider, and then we move on to the offered features and integration options. Let’s begin with the most popular one of them all, the Google G Suite.

The Google G Suite (Google’s Apps for Work) as the best email service for small business

Price: Basic edition with 30GB storage for $5 USD per month        Business edition with unlimited storage and archiving for $10 USD per month        Enterprise edition with advanced controls and capabilities for $25 USD per month   The main reasons the Google G Suite is regarded as one of the best email services for small business are his forefront cloud-based tools and fast syncing abilities that allow for smooth remote work. When the working process is shared between multiple individuals, a streamlined process becomes a key to productivity. All your team needs is a computer with an internet connection.   The learning curves are marginal since the most used features of the G Suite for small businesses are the Google Docs, Sheets and Calendar, and they had been introduced by Google a while ago. Editing Google Docs is very simple, and keeping track of revisions and updated versions is a far simpler task than with the regular Office Word document.   You can get access to many web apps that sync with the Google provider. Moreover, the G Suite allows for full integration with most of your business productivity apps, like syncing your Asana project deadline with the Google Calendar. You can also create your business email address when you open a G Suite account.   If you require a streamlined process to do your work effectively, then the G Suite is your safest bet for a small business email provider.

The Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook) as an email service for small business

Price: Office 365 Business for $8.25 USD per month        Office 365 Business Premium for $12.50 USD per month        Office 365 Business Essentials without Office applications for $5.00 per month   The other biggest contender for the “best email service for small business” award is the Microsoft Office 365. The most important feature of the Office 365 is the whole variety of desktop applications that it provides, and the G Suite does not. However, if you’re a G Suite user, that is easily solvable with an efficient desktop email client. Another significant advantage of the Office 365 for companies that have to store data is the massive storage space —  1 TB of storage for the entry level business package.   The business email comes with a 50 GB inbox, which is added to the above mentioned 1 TB storage. The interface for the email service is rather simple for users, and you are probably already familiar with the way Microsoft apps work. Moreover, you can set up one unified inbox with multiple email accounts in Microsoft Outlook.   If you process and store a lot of data for your daily business activities, then we would recommend you choose the Microsoft Office 365.   Note of importance: All of the price packages for Office 365 come with an annual commitment.

The Zoho email provider

Price: Basic for €3 EUR per month        Professional for €6 EUR per month   Your business can benefit from a “smaller” email provider, and even though Zoho is not Microsoft or Google, it does offer excellent features for small companies. What’s more, it’s a bit more affordable than G Suite and Office 365, and if your goal is to get a great provider, which is reasonably priced, then Zoho wins.   The user interface is intuitive, and the manager has extensive administrative controls that might come in handy for spam control, setting mailbox limits and blocking email accounts. You get support on all devices, as with G Suite and Office 365, and Zoho offers calendar and task management features, the same as the others. Zoho has a cloud-based office and document management bundle, called Zoho Docs.   If you’re searching for the best price and similar quality service for your business, then Zoho offers the best deal on the market.   Note of importance: The Zoho price packages are billed annually plus taxes.

Desktop email clients as email solutions for small business

Once you set up your professional email account, it would be prudent to focus on managing it. If you’re searching for an email solution for a small business, we must recommend you to find a proper email management tool. A high-quality desktop email client can be that tool, which will help you with your organisational issues and employee task management.   Besides, almost all of the best email clients today offer the unified inbox option that integrates an unlimited number of email accounts in one place, and that can be quite beneficial for a small company. Mailbird, for example, has a unified inbox with colour indicators to help you differentiate which emails come from which account.   Using a desktop email client can help you enhance the management of your small business email through plenty of integration features and intuitive design. Your inbox can be spotless and well-organised for a quick response! The most popular email clients today are Mailbird, Airmail, Hiri, eM client, Mozilla Thunderbird and others. Airmail is the most elegant Mac email client that you can find on the market, and it is famous for its speedy performance and high-level of user interaction.   Mailbird, on the other hand as a Windows-based desktop client, can offer you options like In-line Reply, Quick Action Bar, Attachment Search and others. Furthermore, you will get full integration of the popular productivity apps from one simple interface, and it’s also a great email client for freelancers because of its high level of customisation.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

How to create a good business email address

Let’s imagine a scenario where the email address of SpaceX is marsiscool@gmail.com, or Elon Musk has an email like ilovespacecusitsawesome@yahoo.com. Can you even do that? Imagine a serious company or respectable people with email addresses like that. Even if you could, you shouldn’t, because a good business email address says more about the excellence of your company than any other form of electronic business communication.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   The first thing you need to understand is that every part of the email address matters. It’s not as simple as putting the name of your company in the second part of the email address and leaving it at that because you already have a business email service provider. On the contrary, the first part is the one that speaks to your clients and customers about the level of professionalism you’re displaying at your company. If we go back to the start of this article, you’ll notice that what stood out the most was the fact that the names were not professional.   The fine art of constructing a good business email address is to keep everything clean, simple and accurate. Elegance derives from simplicity, and that should be your golden rule when it comes to email address creation. A professional email username is as significant as the words after the “@”. You should always choose your name and surname or just your name, and stay clear from nicknames, numbers and funny usernames that will make you look like an amateur in front of your peers. For example annabrown@yourcompany.com or simply anna@yourcompany.com.   Let’s go over the best everyday choices again:
  •         First name
  •         First name.Last name
  •         First Initial.Last name
  •         First Initial Last name
  •         First name.Last name Initial
  •         First name Last name Initial
None of the above should have any spaces between them.   If you have a particularly long or complex first or last name, then you should go with the initials. However, if your name is short and simple, then you can go with the full name option. The idea behind this is to make your email address as brief and notable as possible.   If the employees on your team have similar or identical names, then it’s also better to go with the initials alternative so you’ll avoid confusion and misplaced emails. If you have two guys called Sam and one is in sales, and the other one is a creative art director, you wouldn’t want people to mix them up.   Let’s move on to generic addresses and when it’s suitable for you to use them! Here are some examples of generic addresses:
  •         Accounts@
  •         Info@
  •         Support@
  •         Contact@
These are addresses that don’t feature a specific person or department. Instead, they go to the general company inbox and are a company email that is checked by multiple people.   The next step you need to take once you’ve decided on a company email and provider is to find an effective email client that will help you boost the productivity of your teammates and help you organise your inbox. Mailbird is the ideal choice for Windows because the elegant design and intuitive dashboard will be naturally easy for navigating to your employees, and you can set up an unlimited number of email accounts, signatures and identities in one place.   eM Client has been on the market for the past decade providing you with migration tools and integrated chat options. Hiri is also a great option with very efficient productivity tools, but it doesn’t support Gmail yet. Mozilla Thunderbird supports unlimited accounts as well, and it can be expanded via plugins, but on the other hand, it’s not an easy and intuitive email client to work with.   When using an efficient email client, you would be able to access all of the most important G-Suite features on your Google account or every other email account you have been using for business purposes. Everything within the email client should be integrated with your team’s productivity apps (Asana, Wunderlist, Moo.do, Todoist and others) and Dropbox. At the same time, you should be able to manage and sync contacts from your Google and Outlook accounts (Google Apps and Office 365) and integrate video calling and conference apps.   A good email client would feature time management options like:
    •         Attachment Search – which allows you to find the document without scrolling through your whole inbox
    •         Speed Reader –  that displays one word at a time, and with a customisable reading speed
    •         In-line Reply – that automatically inserts a colour-coded “Your Name” right in front of all the inline replies, which means it will be extremely easy and simple for everyone in the office to follow the threads
    •         Undo-Send – which allows you to prevent any email from sending up to 30 seconds after clicking “send”, which can be very useful if you forgot to cc the right people or if you cc-ed the wrong people
    •         Snooze – is the best feature for any business that receives and sends out a bunch of emails during a work day, now you can click a snooze button on the ones that need a follow-up and focus only on the ones that need your immediate attention

  •         UnrollMe – an app that lets you unsubscribe from all the unnecessary subscriptions that clutter your inbox

  •         Contact Manager – syncs the contacts from all the different email accounts you have been using, and it creates a virtual database within the email client, which allows you to edit, link and copy contact information
  •         Followup.cc – the perfect reminder (works very well with the snooze option)

What are good business email names?

A long time ago, it was acceptable for a business to have one email address for everyone in the office or not have one at all. Today, we live in a world where multiple email addresses are a must, and a free enterprise email service provider is not even a viable option. On the question of what is a good business email name, the answer has to be your own — in every sense of the word.   You should get your domain name and use it in your email address because, with the options available to you today, that process is cheap and easy. This is a fact that should not even be negotiated if you’re serious about your business. The best way to do this is to check the Domain Registrar and search for an available domain name that corresponds to the name of your company. Select the shortest domain name that correctly reflects your business.   The second issue you should pay attention to while you’re building your good business email address is the TLD or Top Level Domain. This is the part that comes after the name of your company .com, .org, .net, etc. For a growing business .com will be enough, but if you want to go deeper into this subject, you will learn that you can also add the country, for example, .com.au if you are familiarised with your target audience.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

The two best business email providers today

When you are starting your own business, you will notice how many important decisions you’ll have to make on a daily basis. One of those decisions is choosing the right business email provider that can fulfill the needs of your growing company. You have to think about scalability, performances, technical support, regular updates and apps integration.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   The great trinity includes Microsoft, Google and Amazon Web Services (AWS). In order to be of help, we are going to focus on the significant providers primarily because they are the most popular ones, and they provide excellent support for their clients. That doesn’t mean that you can’t find other email providers that would suit your company better than the ones we describe here. For reference, you can also take a look at:
  • iCloud
  • Yahoo Mail
  • AOL Mail
  • Zoho Mail
  • GMX Mail
  • Yandex Mail
  • Mail.com
  • Lycos Mail
All of the above offer a free, basic email service, although if you want a professional email, you might want to subscribe to the more advanced version.   Mailbird is a Windows-based email service that works great with the business email providers we have picked out for our list. In this article, we will be looking at Microsoft Outlook and Google G Suite a little bit closer. We are going to go into detail about each of them, focusing on both the good and the bad sides of the provider.

Microsoft Outlook is one of the best business email providers

Let’s start our review with Microsoft Оutlook as one of the best business email providers. The first thing you’ll notice with Outlook is that it gives you a preview pane where you can see your inbox and messages at the same time. You can manage your preview pane to be on the right of your inbox or below it. Another great feature is that you can integrate it with popular social networks like Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn.   You can also view the attached documents inside your inbox with the Office Web apps and save some time and storage space by avoiding downloads. You can even look at the attached pictures as slideshows inside the email. One of the best things about Outlook, however, is that the interface is pretty clean and simple, making it easy for navigation. The feature that is the favourite among business is the attachment size, which can go up to 300MB in file size if you attach it with SkyDrive.   However, what makes Outlook one of the top business email providers is the added option for instant messages. You can switch between the Facebook chat and the IM chat in real time mid-conversation. You can also do a video Skype call and add an alias email address for yourself. If nevertheless, you think you need more productivity features and better app integration in Outlook then Mailbird can fill in that gap. You can integrate business apps like Asana, Degoo, Moo.do, Slack, Todoist and others with the email client.

Google G Suite as one of the best business email service providers

Google G Suite (Google Apps) is regarded as one of the best business email service providers since it was launched on the market and promoted as an email for small businesses and large companies. The best part about the Google G Suite is that it includes the dominant and stylish Google Docs, Sheets and Slides. It has simple features and an elegant design, combined with intuitive and user-friendly management. The working capacity is the same across all devices, including desktop and mobile, and it has fine-tuned collaboration and revision-tracking features.   The bad side to the Google G Suite is that is doesn’t include a desktop app, and offline editing is available only in the Chrome browser, which requires the additional download of files. However, this is where Mailbird comes in with the full integration of the Google G Suite as a Windows desktop email client, so it will be easy for you to turn the negative into a positive.   What you should care about the most is the fact that Google Docs, Sheets and Slides are the perfect formats for teams to share information, work on documents and input comments. The Google Drive is available for everyone, even with the basic free Gmail account. However, if your company has more members on the team, you will want to upgrade and purchase the Google G Suite. The monthly subscription starts at $5 for the basic package.   You will also have to create an individual account for Google G Suite since you can’t transform your free Gmail account into a business one. If you don’t have a domain name by now for your business, during the Google G Suite sign up, you’ll be able to purchase one.   The Google G Suite offers three versions:
  • Basic – $5
  • Business – $10
  • Enterprise – priced individually depending on security and features
  All of them include:
  • Google apps
  • Google calendar
  • Video and voice conferencing
  • Management features
Let’s dive into the details. The dashboard menu is simple and straightforward, giving you all the information you need at first glance. However, this is a very subjective issue, and some people tend to say that Outlook has a clearer menu and is thus easier for navigation. The Google Suites app provides you with the possibility to build a multi-page site in no time, and like every other Google App, it is very simple and easy to navigate.   If you’ve purchased one of the G Suite options, then you can use your domain name for the creation of these sites. Google G Suites works like any other web-hosting service.   Furthermore, the functionality of the Google Apps is what makes this one of the best business email providers in the world. Everything is stored on the cloud, but it works perfectly, and the options and combinations for sharing and editing are far greater with Google G Suite than with any other email provider today. As we said above, if you want to access your email through your desktop, since that is the only thing G Suite doesn’t offer you, then Mailbird is the ideal solution for that!   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

The benefits of having a formal email address for businesses

We at Mailbird believe that the best way to explain the importance of email to you, as a business owner, is through the power of numbers — particularly when it comes to the significance of a formal email address. So, let’s start with some compelling numerical facts:
  • There are 4.6 billion email accounts worldwide.
  • There are 2.7 billion email users.
  • Over 212 billion are sent and received on a daily basis.
  • One person sends and receives 131 emails per day in a regular business communication.
  • A total of 54 percent of B2B emails contain marketing messages.
  • It is a fact that 91 percent of users check their emails daily, and 66 percent of them purchase through email.
  • The average click-through rate of B2B marketing emails is 1.7 percent.
  • The list goes on and on, but you get the idea!
Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   Additionally, 72 percent of consumers prefer email communication, and that fact is more than understandable in an era of instant messaging. Now, imagine the possibility of reaching just a small percent of those potential clients and consumers, and how much that would grow your business and recognition on the market. Imagine getting in touch with a generic, unprofessional email address. Do you think they would even open that mail?   If you’re launching a marketing email campaign or sending out promotional offers and newsletters, your email address is the first thing that’s going to make an impression on people, and you should make sure it’s a good one. A formal email address increases your level of credibility in the eyes of your peers.   These are just some of the benefits you can gain when you start using a professional email address:
  • Customers and clients will perceive your business as a serious company.
  • It’s more probable for customers to remember your email and brand when you’re using a professional email address.
  • The only business you’re promoting is yours.
In today’s world, it’s almost impossible for a startup to be competitive in the market without a strong online presence. Another benefit you can reap with a corporate and presentable email address is developing a high-quality marketing and management strategy for your long-term goals.   The email address itself is an integral part of the image of the company because it shows your future customers the level of professionalism they can expect. For example, a professional email address is a key ingredient in launching a successful email marketing campaign. Moreover, it can be extremely beneficial to you when you’re trying to build a brand and make the company easily recognisable on the market.   If you want to manage your new address properly, we recommend you use a supported email client that can save you and your team time and money. Mailbird is continuously updated, and its integration features will allow you to have everything right at your fingertips in one elegant dashboard.

How to make a formal email address

The answer to the question of how to make a formal email address is relatively straightforward and simple. You need to choose a domain name that is brief and corresponding to the name of your company, and then find the right provider for you. The most popular providers on the market today are:
  • Google G Suite
  • Microsoft Outlook
  • iCloud
  • Yahoo Mail
  • AOL Mail
  • Zoho Mail
  • GMX Mail
  • Yandex Mail
  • Mail.com
  • Lycos Mail
Each of the above offers a free version, however, if you want to use the premium features, they usually come with a monthly subscription. For example, the basic business packages for Google G Suite (Google Apps) and Microsoft Outlook are $5 per month.

The rules of writing a quality formal business email

In this section of the article, we are going to focus on the writing of a quality formal business email and the elementary principles of email etiquette.
  1.    Be reserved about what you write – You should never write in an email something you are not willing to say in public. More often than not, the wrong person in the cc section can turn your business communication into a full-blown scandal. Because of that, double-check the content and the people you’re sending it to.

  1.    Always introduce yourself at the beginning when you are talking to strangers – You should never assume that people know who you are or what your company is about when you’re reaching out to them for the first time. Instead, take the time to write a brief introduction about yourself and the company. Make it simple and elegant, and provide only the necessary information.
  2.    Be a timely person/business – There is nothing worse than waiting for a response. If you want to grow your client list and have satisfied customers, then responding in a timely fashion is crucial. In fact, 24 to 48 hours is acceptable, and everything after two days can be considered reckless.

  1.    Refrain from sending one-liners – One-liners will not help or advance the communication in any way, and words such as good and okay, will not leave a respectable impression on your peers.
  2.    Don’t use shortcuts to real words, emoticons, jargon or slang – Because email communication is not instant messaging, it shouldn’t be treated as such. That’s the reason we have different channels for both types of communication. It’s not acceptable for professionals to use inappropriate language as 4u or Gr8 in a corporate email. You risk looking unprofessional with your partners and clients.

  1.    Simplicity and clarity are your best friends in business communication

  1.    Always include a signature (also simple and elegant)

Raise brand awareness with your formal email id

An email ID is an electronic identification allocated by the server to you. For example, in the elon.musk@tesla.com email address, elon.musk is the email ID. When you’re using a formal email id to promote your business, you take on a professional responsibility that conveys an image of trustworthiness and competence. If the customers think your company is proficient and has an excellent product/service to offer, they will reply.     However, their first impression can also be their last if you’re not branding the business right with a formal email address and with the right email content. A professional email for freelancers is also recommended because you are a one-person business. The presentation of your services to the business community should be respectable, and the email address reflects your professionalism. Remember, your email is a reflection of you and your company!   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

5 Email Productivity Tips to Clear Your Inbox in 2018

Every morning it’s the same story. You open your inbox and it’s flooded with tons of unread emails, about work, promotional offers, news articles, blog posts, follow ups, personal to-do’s and more. By the time you’ve dealt with them, it’s noon already and you’ve lost your entire morning.

How do you fix this problem and achieve the mythical empty inbox (also called inbox zero) ?

Here are 5 ways to ensure that you’re not distracted by unnecessary emails and that your inbox is regularly empty.

If you touch it, you own it

Do you open promotional emails from sites like Amazon, thinking you’ll just have a peek and close them? By the time you’re done, you realize you’ve spent half an hour going through all their attractive offers and even clicking on some of them, which in turn, take you to the Amazon website, where you continue browsing more products. Happens with me all the time.

The simplest way to cut through unimportant and non-urgent emails is to follow the rule “If you touch it, you own it”. If you open an email, you must do something about it – reply, delete, archive or file it. If you can’t do one of these actions, then you shouldn’t be opening that email in the first place.

In fact, to make it more effective, you can even apply David Allen’s 2-minute rule to getting things done – if you can reply to an email in less than 2 minutes, do it now. Else do it later.

Schedule a meeting with your inbox

No matter how well you manage your inbox, you’ll keep getting emails everyday, throughout the day. So there is no point in keeping your inbox open all the time, hoping to clear unread emails as soon as they arrive. It will only keep you from doing other tasks.

Keep aside some time each day to go through your emails. Don’t look at your emails any other time. It can be a single one-hour stretch in the morning, after you come to office, or three 20-minute slots in morning, afternoon, and evening. Don’t worry. You won’t be rebuked for responding late. I keep aside three 30 minute slots – before breakfast, after lunch, and post dinner – to check my emails and to my surprise, both my colleagues & customers thank me for my “prompt responses”

Don’t keep your inbox open in a browser tab, running in the background, and definitely turn off notifications.

This will allow you to deal with your emails all-at-once, as well as focus on other tasks rest of the time.

Batch your emails

Do you respond to your emails, one at a time, everyday? Instead, process your emails in batches of 5,10 or 20 at a time.

The idea is to group your emails and respond to them at one go. When you batch your emails, you’ll be able to spot similar messages and even see patterns in them. Accordingly, you can anticipate their content and respond faster.

There are multiple ways to batch your emails. You can set a minimum threshold before you begin responding to your emails. For example, if your inbox doesn’t have at least 5 unread emails, don’t act upon them.

You can also batch your emails based on their topic. For example, group your customer support emails by labeling them as ‘support queries’ and respond to them as soon as your arrive in your office. Or send 25 sales pitches to your prospects before your first cup of tea.

You can even create canned responses that you can quickly customize before sending your reply. Canned responses are a great way to save and send frequently-used messages. For example, if you get too many emails asking for login steps to your product, you can setup a canned response to quickly reply to such emails. This way you don’t have to type in the same reply again & again.

Here’s how you can quickly create a canned response in Gmail:

1. Log into Gmail. Click the gear icon on the right and select Settings.

2. Select Labs. 3. Find the Canned Responses option and enable it. 4. Click compose, and type the message you’d like to save as a canned response. 5Click the arrow at the bottom right corner of your ‘Compose’ window. Select Canned Response -> New Response 6. Type a name for your canned response and click OK.   7. Now, when you reply to an email, hit the reply button as usual, but instead of typing your entire reply, use the arrow at the bottom right to select your saved canned response. You’ll find your entire saved message appear directly in the Compose window.

You can simply enter the recipient’s name and email address, and quickly send your response.

Consolidate email subscriptions & newsletters

You must have noticed that most of the emails that we receive everyday are nothing but newsletters and subscriptions. Use plugins like Unroll.me to consolidate them in one place and view it as a daily or weekly digest. Instead of having to deal with dozens of emails everyday, you’ll just have one message. In fact, Unroll.me is integrated in Mailbird and can simply be activated through their App section.

This allows you to quickly scan all the offers, news articles and blog posts in one message, and even unsubscribe from multiple lists at once.

Similarly, using filters & labels can boost your email productivity tremendously. Once you set them up, they will automatically sort your emails in the right folders. You can create filters to:

  1. Group promotional offers, news articles & blog posts and view them later
  2. Archive unimportant emails based on keywords such as “invitation” to filter unnecessary beta invites to newly launched websites, apps and social networks. On the other hand, you can also filter useful emails based on keywords like ‘conferences’ or ‘expo’ to keep track of all the important events in your industry, and automatically send them to a ‘Key Events’ folder in your inbox.
  3. Gather emails from important senders, such as your bank statements or responses to your client proposals, so that you don’t miss important emails amidst all the clutter.

In fact, spend an hour every month, revisiting your existing filters and adding new ones, to refine them as you get emails about new topics, or from new senders. This will ensure that your filters get better with time and keep your inbox clean regularly.

If you’re subscribed to many blogs, then you should try out RSS readers like Feedly to aggregate and monitor their articles, instead of letting their newsletters clutter your inbox.

Reschedule your emails

Sometimes, you may need do to some research before replying to an email. Such emails can take up a lot of your time, and block you from moving on to other tasks. You can use the new Snooze feature in Mailbird to reschedule your emails to reappear later. So hit the Snooze button on such emails so they appear at a more suitable time and free you from the responsibility of replying to them immediately.

This technique is also great for batching similar emails together. For example, you’ve posted a job opening and keep receiving interests from potential candidates throughout the week, that you intend to review on Friday. So you can reschedule all the emails from job seekers to reappear in your inbox on Friday morning. They won’t fill your inbox or keep you preoccupied, and you’ll be able to deal with them efficiently.

Wrapping it up

These productivity tips will help you keep away junk emails, and allow you to focus on those emails that are actually important and deserve your attention. Although we all get plenty of emails everyday, if you observe carefully, they can be grouped into a handful of categories (such as newsletters, sales offers, social media updates). The key is to understand what types of emails distract you the most and put measures in place to stop them from wasting your time.

As a business owner of a small or a medium-sized company, you must weigh in all the technological and organisational features provided by each email provider, before you make a decision. Even though Google and Microsoft dominate the market, there are more viable and high-quality options that can fulfil your professional needs and requirements, like Zoho Mail, Yahoo Mail, Amazon Mail, GMX and others.   Finding the best email service for business can be a challenging process, which is why we wrote this article that provides you with information about the most important factors you should consider before committing to an email provider.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   It’s not uncommon for startups and medium-sized companies to use a generic email service like Gmail or Yahoo, but as the business grows on the market, the need for a business-tailored email account appears vital. According to a research made by the email provider Godaddy, 75 percent of their customers stated that a professional email address helps them build trust with a business. If you consider those numbers and your aspirations for the scalability of your company, the bottom line is that finding the best email service for business is turning into a necessity.   We would recommend that you assess the email needs that your business imposes before you make your pick. Furthermore, you should have the size of your team and the organisational structure of your company in mind when you’re choosing an email business package. Each provider has different strengths, weakness and price packages you can choose from, and your due diligence is imperative.

“Must-have” features of the best business email service

The best business email service should be able to provide you with a list of useful features and services that will make your B2B communication smooth and effective. In this section of the article, we are going to focus on those “must-have” features, and explain how important they are for your daily business operations.
  • Technical support and 24/7 service – Not everyone on your team will be technologically savvy, and having a good support system in your email provider that can handle technical questions and accidents is crucial.

  • Integration capacity – Integration features are becoming one of the most important factors when it comes to raising efficiency levels in the company. Getting access to tools like the Google Calendar or Dropbox can be a game changer for businesses, primarily because of the potential of streamlined workflow. Email clients like Mailbird (Windows), Evolution (Linux) or Airmail (Mac), also come in handy when it comes to integration capacity because they are developed with that purpose in mind. Mailbird, for example, is fully integrated with Asana, Slack, Todoist, Dropbox and many other productivity apps.

  • Spam filters – Spam is annoying and at times, dangerous, which is why a good spam filter can save your employees from wasting time and resources on meaningless spam emails. Email providers offer different levels of sensitivity when it comes to spam filters, so check out your options before you choose the one. Of course, you can also install spam software afterwards, like Clean Mail Home 4.6.1.3, Spambully 4, Mailwasher Pro 2010 6.53 and others.

  • Storage – Depending on the nature of your business, the storage space can be the deciding factor when it comes down to choosing the best email provider for your company. For example, the mailbox limit for a standard business package for Google G Suite is 30GB, with Microsoft Office 365 at 50GB and Zoho Mail at 25GB storage.

  • Security – Email protection is a serious issue, and it should be treated as such, which is why you should find out if the email provider is compliant with the security standards of SPF (Sender Policy Framework) and DMARC (Domain-based Message Authentication, Reporting and Conformance). Furthermore, you can use email encryption as an extra line of defence.

Free or paid email services for businesses

The free or paid email services for businesses topic has been discussed for a while, and the jury is in: you should always use a branded email address and a business email account. Using a free email account for business can be limiting and potentially damaging to your company’s image on the market. Your clients, customers and peers will evaluate your company on every front, from the email address to the products and services you’re offering, which is why a paid email account is essential.   A professional email account is not beneficial only for your image and credibility, but also the features and extra security and storage you’ll be getting at your disposal are substantial. If your company is growing, and the organisational structure is getting more complex, you’ll want to consider a business-class email account that can help you keep the B2B communication simple, clean and organised.   These are the most popular paid business email packages you can consider:
  1. Google G Suite – $5 per month for a 30GB storage
  2. Microsoft Office 365 – $8.25 per month for a 50GB storage
  3. Zoho Mail – $2 per month for a 25GB storage

Choose business mail services with upgrade potential

The business mail services should satisfy your company’s needs today, but what about five years from now? This is why you should choose an email provider that has upgrade potential. Google and Microsoft are still the frontrunners in this race, providing new features and tools to users with every new update.   Another example of utilising potential is the Amazon Simple Email Service (SES) platform, which is a cloud-based email service perfect for sending automated emails, notifications and promotional emails. It also provides high-level integration with all your existing apps.   Finding the best email service for business can be a complicated process, but as we said in the beginning, it will be worth it. Your business email account should make your everyday work communication much easier and faster.     Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

Is Google the Best Email Company Today?

The Google success story began 20 years ago, in the not-so-distant 1998, when Larry Page and Sergey Brin launched Google Search, which is the most-used web-search engine of all time. In 2004, the founders decided to take the company “public” and made the initial public offering that made Google the multi-billion corporation we know today.   Gmail was launched the same year. The Google Drive was put on the market only six years later, in 2012, and today we have Google docs, sheets, slides and calendar — all part of the same powerful bundle. From July 2018, the Google Drive alone is being used by over a billion users, so it is safe to assume that Google is the best email company today. According to GOBankingRates, Google is owned by parent company Alphabet, and it is worth over $279.3 billion!   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   However, as a business owner, the most important Google email product for you is the G Suite. The G Suite was formerly known as Google Apps for Work and Google Apps for Your Domain, but it was rebranded in September 2016. The Google G Suite is more than just an email service, but a platform that combines cloud computing, productivity, collaboration tools, software and business Google products.   Gmail – is the reason why Google is the best email company today. Gmail is a web-based email service with over one billion active users worldwide, and it’s popular because it features threaded conversations, significant storage space (depends on the package) and advanced search options. The guaranteed uptime with zero scheduled downtime is 99.99 percent. The best thing about Gmail is that it can fully synchronise with Microsoft Outlook or other email providers, and it supports third-party apps you can purchase on the G Suite Marketplace.   Google Drive – according to Google, the Drive is “a place where you can create, share, collaborate and keep all of your stuff.” It’s a storage space and a synchronisation service, which is ideal for business use, because it streamlines the whole working process. Full teams can work on the same Google Doc in real-time, and that is a game changer for every company that strives towards efficiency. The files in the Drive are synced, and they can be accessed from any device at any given time.   Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms – are part of the collaborative software we mentioned above, and they are very similar to their Microsoft Office counterparts. For each of these documents, there is a revision history tracker that allows everyone from your team to be updated with all the changes, comments and revisions at all times. The Google forms are a bit different, but also extremely useful for businesses that are data-oriented, because they allow information gathering through surveys. The answers are automatically processed and collected in the designated spreadsheets.   Google Sites – is a handy website building tool for people that don’t know how to write codes or do not have a web design background. The website privacy settings will allow you to share it within your company or the whole world.   Google Calendar – is simply an online calendar, but with a smart scheduling twist and full integration with other email accounts. That means that you can put all of your events and meetings in one calendar with just one click. It’s one of the best administrative tools for businesses.   Google Hangouts – is a messaging service that can be utilised by the people in your company for text, voice and video conversations. The basic business package also offers screen-sharing and 99.9 percent uptime guarantee with a 24/7 phone and email support. Hangouts Meet is the special video conferencing app that’s part of Google Hangouts.   Google+ – is a social networking service with enhanced privacy controls and restricted communities that allows your team to share and discuss mutual interests and ideas.   Google Keep – is a note-taking tool that includes text, lists, voice, and images. It’s also integrated with Google docs, so you’ll be able to keep notes inside the documents.   Google Vault – is an archiving and electronic discovery service, and one of the reasons G Suite is the best email service for business. In the words of Google, it gives users  “an easy-to-use and cost-effective solution for managing information critical to your business and preserving important data.”

Create a professional company email address with Google

If your business still doesn’t have a professional company email address, it’s time for you to create one, and you can do that during the sign up for a Google G Suite account. Google gives you the opportunity to purchase and register a custom domain for your company for $8 to $12 per year. When you’re creating your corporate domain, you should always use the full name of your company or a logical abbreviation of the name, so your customers and clients can easily recognise your brand in their inbox.   The G Suite price plans include the following:
  • Basic – $5 – 30GB storage
  • Business – $10 – unlimited storage and archiving
  • Enterprise – priced individually depending on security and features
Since Gmail is a webmail client, you might want to consider using a desktop email client for better email management and full integration with productivity apps. Furthermore, some email clients offer additional productivity features like attachment search, in-line reply, undo-send, unified inbox and others. Mailbird, which is a Windows-based email client, for example, offers full integration with Slack, Asana, Todoist, Dropbox and most of the other popular business apps. If you’re using Mac, you can try Airmail, or if you’re a Linux user, you might like the Evolution email client.   However, every business is different and has diverse email needs and requirements, and the decision about the best email provider is subjective. Our goal was to provide you with the fundamental information about the G Suite package and Google, which is without a doubt, one of the best email companies in the world today.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

Alternative Options for the Best Email Server Today

If you’re getting tired of reading reviews about Google G Suite or Microsoft Office 365, then we have a new list for you! In this article, we are going to cover some of the alternative best email servers today, which also offer a free email account. Our primary focus is on the following email providers:
  • AOL Mail
  • Zoho Mail
  • GMX Mail
  • Yandex Mail
Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   Another topic we would like to discuss before we continue with the email providers is desktop email clients for business. Using a desktop email client has many advantages for a business with a busy B2B communication. Having a unified inbox and a lot of productivity features at your disposal can help you keep your inbox organised, and your employees focused.   For example, Mailbird features full app integration with Asana, Slack, Dropbox, Degoo, Google Apps and others. If you’re using a Windows OS, then Mailbird is perfect for you. On the other hand, if you’re a Linux user, then Evolution is a great email client, and everyone that uses Mac OS has praised Airmail as the most well-designed email client.

AOL Mail as one of the best email servers on the market

You must have heard of AOL Mail since it was one of the first email companies introduced on the market. Back in the 80’s, AOL Mail was known around the world as America Online, and in 2015 was acquired by Verizon (parent company: Verizon Wireless – a telecommunications company in the U.S.). The email service is still popular today, which is why is on our list as one of the best email servers now.   AOL Mail offers a free and a premium subscription email account, so you can choose the one that suits your company best. However, even the free email account offers most of the essential services you’ll need to get by on a daily basis. You will get an advanced spam filter and virus protection, and most importantly you can customise your email address according to your company’s domain name. AOL Mail offers unlimited storage space, just like Yandex and GMX, which are also part of the alternative best email servers list.

Zoho Mail as the best email server for business

Why is Zoho Mail one of the best email servers for business? First, because it offers more than one premium level specially designed for business use, and secondly because it provides a basic email account you can try out before you decide to commit. The basic level email account allows 25 users on the same package, which will be enough for most of the small- and mid-sized companies!   However, there are some limitations in the free version, for example, each user gets 5 GB of storage space, and there is no spam or virus protection. On the other hand, all of the productivity tools that are a part of the Zoho email account, like the calendar, the Zoho docs, the task list and others, are also part of the free email account. The main reason companies choose Zoho as their email provider is the ad-free space it offers! Most of the other email companies run ads on their free email account versions, but Zoho does not, which makes it a tempting offer for businesses that want to boost employees’ productivity!

GMX email servers for business

The GMX email servers for business offer an excellent and quality account for free! If you’re just starting out, and you don’t want to invest too much in email management right at the beginning, then GMX can be your top free option. The best feature about GMX is the mobile service integration, which allows you to integrate more than one email account in one place, including your smartphone. Another great feature for GMX users is the unlimited storage space, which can make all the difference if you have a lot of B2B communication on a daily basis.   GMX is a good option as a small business email because it offers spam and virus protection, and it has an additional feature that companies love — the GMX Organizer. With the GMX Organizer, you can manage your appointments inside the webmail client. The specific issue about GMX mail is that it’s your choice how long the emails will be stored, for example, you can choose how long a deleted email will stay in the Trash folder.   The attachment size is limited to 50 MB, and you get a free online calendar when you open the email account.

Yandex business mail server

The Yandex business mail server is available for free, and the most famous feature about this email service is the built-in translation check. Yandex is the most popular Russian alternative to Google because it functions as Russia’s largest search engine. Furthermore, the same as Google, Yandex offers a free email service, which is equipped with a spam-filter and virus protection. Yandex mail provides you with an option for unlimited storage, but the starting package is 10 GB storage space for the mailbox, which is more than enough for a small business. Every time you have less than 200 MB free, you can add more storage space!   The other amazing features that are built-in the webmail client are labels, personal buttons and hotkeys. You can even view the email attachments as media files, which can save you time on a busy workday.   However, the main reason Yandex is on the list for best email server is the translation service it offers for all incoming and outgoing emails. For every business that has dealings with international clients, this service can be a life saver! Furthermore, Yandex is upgraded with a task service too, which allows users to create and complete tasks inside the webmail client.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

How to Write the Best Work Email

$
0
0
Writing the best work email is not an easy job, there are many rules to follow, and sometimes the instructions are contradictory to one another. This can put your employees on the spot, especially if they’re not experienced or naturally smooth in B2B communication. In this article, we are going to give you five basic recommendations when it comes to constructing a proper business email! There is much more to B2B communication than just choosing the best email server.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   The subject – The subject line can be the difference between a client and a missed opportunity. We live in a world where B2B communication is in the fast lane, and everyone is busy with their work tasks and daily lives, which is why you need to make your subject line important enough for potential customers to even open your email. You need to make it accurate and compelling! Don’t focus on making it short, but rather try to make it simple, so people will understand right away what your email is about, and they can proceed to the content with a clear notion.   The audience – This is the most important advice of all. You need to know whom you’re addressing, so you can do so adequately. A corporate lawyer and an art director don’t use the same language. Furthermore, you can’t send the same emails to the people that are your colleagues, superiors or the clients you haven’t meet. Each of these groups requires a different level of professionalism. When you’re addressing your project leader, with whom you have spent the last six months working side by side, you can allow yourself to be more casual, but when you’re talking to a client, you have to maintain your professional aptitude.   The professional tone of the content – The same rule for the audience applies here, too. You have to be aware of the preferences and proficiency of the other person before you start writing the content. A large, unedited email can have a negative impact on the reader, even if the material itself contains high-quality information. The language and abbreviations used in the text should be familiar to the client. The data you want to present should be simple and clear, and the content should be edited with bullet points and sections if it’s larger than usual. You should always address everyone with the proper email etiquette!   Another note of importance is to expect every client to have a different email preference and to act accordingly. Some people don’t have a problem reading large email texts, while others prefer to work with documents (attachments) instead.   The size of the text – The size of the content should be kept short, but that rule doesn’t always apply to every B2B communication you will establish. As we said above, some clients prefer email communication, and they won’t find it encumbering to read and reply to large amounts of text. Most people, however, prefer to have the crucial details in the email, but they like to discuss essential topics via Skype, phone calls or, if possible, in person.   So, knowing your audience is the best bet for making the right assumption when it comes to the text size. However, if you’re establishing contact for the first time with a customer or a client, then your email should be simple, short and concise.   Call to action – The best part about email communication is that you can take the time to formulate your ideas and thoughts about a project into calls for action. What does that mean? That means that you can assign tasks and inform people about the next step of the project in a summarising way, and give them a list of specific instructions. You can write brief abstracts about project development, and ask for thoughts and ideas from your colleagues and clients, which will give them time to come up with quality answers. Additionally, you can let the employees on your team know about upcoming deadlines and responsibilities.

How can desktop email clients help you write the best emails for work?

In the previous section of this article, we talked about the right way to construct the best work email. In this segment, we’re going to discuss how desktop email clients can help you write the best emails for work.   In the busy B2B communication you experience every day, some emails are forgotten or accidentally deleted, or simply not important enough at the moment, which is how deadlines are missed, and projects fail. The end goal of every company is to minimise the risk, and the potential for damage by implementing a rigorous email management policy. Desktop email clients are one of the pillars in that policy because they feature a unified inbox and many enhancement productivity tools.   If we take Mailbird, for example, the unified inbox feature comes with colour indicators that will help you tell which email comes from which account. Furthermore, with the right email client, you should be getting all kinds of different tools like attachment search, in-line reply, snooze, quick action bar and many others. Airmail, which is a Mac desktop email client, is popular among users for its elegant and intuitive design. Evolution, on the other hand, is a Linux email client with great integration features.   Once you commit to a business email provider, you can focus on finding a proper email client. The inline reply feature itself will help you write the best work emails because it will keep all threads super clean and easy to follow, which is one of the most critical issues in B2B communication. Furthermore, if you want the best experience, focus on finding an email client that can integrate all of your business apps like Slack or Asana in one place!     Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

A Thorough Review of Amazon Simple Email Service

Amazon.com, Inc. was founded by one of the great tech entrepreneurs of our time, Jeff Bezos on July 5, 1994, in Seattle. Today, 24 years later, Amazon is a technological giant with over $4.106 billion operating income, available worldwide and holding the title for the largest Internet retailer in the world (according to revenue). Amazon started as an online bookstore and evolved into one of the most significant electronic commerce and cloud computing companies on the market. One of their last products in the field of corporate email accounts is the Amazon Simple Email Service.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!   Before we go into the subject of Amazon Web Services, let’s give you a few more facts about how amazing the Amazon company is:
  • Amazon is the second most valuable public company in the world after Apple.
  • Amazon is the largest Internet company by revenue in the world.
  • Amazon is the second largest employer in the United States after Walmart.
The Amazon Simple Email Service is part of the Amazon Web Services (AWS), which is a subsidiary of Amazon (parent company) that provides on-demand cloud computing platforms. What are cloud computing platforms? This technology allows users to have a virtual cluster of computers available to them, at all times through the power of the Internet. This platform was launched in 2002, but it was later relaunched and redesigned in 2006, according to the parameters presented by Chris Pinkham and Benjamin Black in their white paper research.   The best way to describe what Amazon Web Services (AWS) does for users is through the words of Andy Jassy, AWS founder and vice president in 2006: “Helps free developers from worrying about where they are going to store data, whether it will be safe and secure, if it will be available when they need it, the costs associated with server maintenance, or whether they have enough storage available. Amazon S3 enables developers to focus on innovating with data, rather than figuring out how to store it.”   The Amazon Simple Email Service was introduced five years later, in 2011, as a new way of sending huge bulks of emails the right way. If your company deals with email marketing in any form, or your business simply has a very busy B2B communication that requires bulk and transactional emails on a daily basis, then this simple email service might be perfect for you. The Amazon Simple Email Service is considered to be one of the best transactional email sending services on the market today, and the end goal is that your emails go straight to the inbox and not in the spam folder. You can send any number of emails to any number of receivers without having to worry about storage space, or blocking the email servers and causing any form of damage.   In the following section of this article, we will discuss the best features of the Amazon Simple Email Service.

The most prominent features of Amazon Simple Email Services

The Amazon Simple Email Service is, in fact, an email marketing solution, which allows businesses to send a huge amount of emails (bulk emails) to many different recipients without disturbing their regular workflow, storage space or email servers. At the end of this section of the article, we will provide you with a brief step-by-step guide on how to configure your domain according to the required parameters and start using the Amazon Simple Email Service.   Amazon SES is defined and promoted by the company as “a cloud-based email sending service designed to help digital marketers and application developers send marketing, notification, and transactional emails. It is a reliable, cost-effective service for businesses of all sizes that use email to keep in contact with their customers.” Moreover, the salient selling point, besides the apparent use of the service, is the high-level integration with the apps and email solutions you’re already using in your company. If you visit the Amazon SES website, you will see the list of their featured clients like HBO, Siemens, InVision and other prominent corporations.   However, for you as a business owner, the most important things are the features offered by Amazon SES and how you can use them to your advantage.   Features:
  • Amazon SES features a content filtering technology and a reputation dashboard, which were designed to protect your reputation as a sender and to deliver your emails to the right inboxes.
  • It’s incredibly cost effective because you’re paying only for the services you’re using, and there are no additional or hidden fees. Furthermore, the first 62,000 emails you send every month are free if you use an application hosted on Amazon EC2.
  • You can set up your configuration settings, which are best applicable to the nature of your business.
  • You can send your email metrics to Amazon CloudWatch for further analysis.
  • Amazon SES allows you to receive notifications through Amazon SNS.
  • Amazon SES is accessible, reliable and has a 24/7 technical support team to aid you with any problems or difficulties.
  Advantages:
  • Your emails won’t be registered as “marketing emails”, and thus they won’t end up in the spam folder, instead of the inbox.
  • The chances of your emails landing in the spam folder are 0.1 percent, unless the content is really spammy.
  • Amazon SES features the most cost-effective email pricing you can find on the market, with only $ 0.0001 per email sent.
  • Have you met Sandy? Sandy is an Amazon SES powered app, which helps you manage and run your marketing campaigns. You can do everything through the app and not log in the dashboard at all. The app features a clean dashboard itself and has an analysis system, which provides you with essential details about every marketing campaign that you ran through the app.
  Disadvantages:
  • The Amazon SES can be a bit difficult to navigate, configure and learn for beginners or people that are not that technologically savvy.
  • The dashboard can be complicated for navigation, and it will take time to learn what every function does and how to use it properly.
Setting up your Amazon Simple Email Services can be done in three easy and simple steps. You just need to follow our guidelines, and you will be done with the setup in a matter of minutes. Let’s begin.   Step 1Create the SMTP credentials – All the emails you want to send through the Amazon Simple Email Services have to go through the SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) interface. The first thing you need to do before sending the emails is to log on to the AWS Management Console to create the SMTP credentials. Once you’re logged in, you need to find the “SES Email Sending Service” option and click on it. It’s the third option under App Services.    Once you click on that, you will need to find the “SMTP Settings” option, which is located in the left navigation bar, under the “Email sending” settings. When you click on the “SMTP Settings” a window will appear with a button for creating SMTP credentials. Download them or copy them on a safe place on the hard drive, because the password won’t be shown again. Once the credentials are created, the download option will appear automatically.   Step 2 Verify your email address – Again, you need to log in the Management Console if you’re not already logged in, and click on the “Verify a New Email Address” link. Once you click on the link, a new dialogue box will pop up, where you will have to type in your email address. In the dialogue box, you will encounter this message: “To verify a new email address, enter it below and click on the Verify This Email button. A verification email will be sent to the email address you entered.”   Once you click on the button, you will receive an email from the Amazon Simple Email Services asking you to confirm the email address. You should be aware that the link is viable only for 24 hours after receiving the email. Once you click on the link in the email, the status of the email address in the console should change from “pending verification” to “verified”. If you want to test this right away, as you should, click on the “Send a Test Email” button, which is right next your verified email address to check if everything works properly. If it does, you’re set for sending bulk emails from that email account.   Step 3 Removal of Amazon Simple Email Service restrictions – This is an additional step if your company needs to send out more than 200 messages in a 24-hour period. The Amazon Simple Email Service imposes these restrictions on new users for protection, including fraud and abuse. If you want to remove the imposed limits and gain unlimited access to the Amazon Simple Email Services, then you need to file a request with the Amazon Support Center.

The simple email client

Another point we would like to discuss while we’re on the subject of email solutions and email management include simple email clients. If you’re a veteran of B2B communication, and you know how to run an email marketing campaign, then there is no need to explain how important email management is for a smooth business operation. Receiving and responding to emails in a timely manner can be crucial for keeping your clients and customers happy and satisfied with your service.   This is where desktop email clients come in! The benefits and advantages of using a proper email client are many, especially if the software is equipped with productivity features and offers full app integration. Integrating the business-oriented apps like Slack, Asana, Degoo, Dropbox, Evernote, Google Apps, Unroll.me, Todoist and others, in the email client, can save your employees time and make them more productive. If you want to up your email game, you should consider finding an email client that features some of the following options:
  • Unified Inbox with colour indicators – will allow you to see all of your emails from all your accounts in one inbox. The colour indicators tell what email comes from what account. It’s the perfect feature for keeping track.
  • Attachment Search – it’s a feature that allows you to search for attachments instead of opening the emails in your inbox. This is a super handy app that can save you and your team a lot of time.
  • Avatar Search / Profile Picture Search – this feature allows you to see all the emails that are in your inbox from the specific person/avatar you clicked on.
  • Drag and Drop of attachments – this feature is perfect for everyone working in a corporate environment and deals with a lot of documents and revisions on a daily basis. The drag & drop attachments option allows you to choose if you want to attach or add the docs inline in the compose window.
  • Inline Reply – is a fantastic feature for project management when many people are involved in the same email conversation. The inline reply will help keep all threads clean and easy to follow for everyone.
  • Quick Action Bar – this feature allows you to hover over the email in the inbox and an  instant action bar will appear that will enable you to “process” that email as fast as possible.
  • Quick Preview of Attachments – this feature lets you take a look at an attached picture/document/PDF or any other file quickly. This means that you won’t have to open Word, Paint or any other apps that might be associated with the attachment.
According to us, if you’re a Mac user, you should take a look at Airmail, or if you prefer a Windows OS, then Mailbird would be perfect for you. Evolution is open-source, and the “go to” candidate for most Linux users. Furthermore, you can use the Amazon Simple Email Service with every app or software email solution already installed on your computer.   Learn about Mailbird – the top Windows email client that provides you with the best managing options for a growing business!

Top 11 reasons why you should choose Mailbird – the Best Email Client for Windows 10

1. Respond to Emails Like a Boss

Let’s admit it.  Replying to long email threads, especially those with multiple questions can be extremely confusing, regardless of which email service you use. You may end up replying to the wrong email address, hitting ‘reply all’ on a long email chain, or missing out answering an important question.  An average employee receives around 120+ emails each day. So mistakes like this are bound to happen sooner or later. But what if you could eliminate these mistakes all together? Mailbird users can do it with our in-line reply feature. In-line Replies In-line replies guarantee error-free replies. So what exactly is that? Let’s say you are just back from a long vacation. You find a ‘welcome back’ email from a co-worker waiting in your inbox with an invite to an event. Now, her email has three questions. Usually, you would craft a reply with all your responses bunched together. However, such a reply can be incoherent or even confusing. You might also forget to answer a particular question.  With an in-line reply, on the other hand, you can place your answers directly underneath their questions. Here’s how it looks: best email client Using in-line replies when you are talking about multiple subjects makes it super simple for the recipient to understand each response. Your responses are automatically noted as yours – with your name and everything – when typing responses inline. Our in-line reply feature helps make email communication more effective. Used in the right situations, it can save you time and avoid confusion. Follow-up Reminders Follow-up reminders are one of the most useful features for users who are marketing professionals.  On an average, marketers send around 7-8 follow-up emails per campaign. Given the quantum of follow-up emails that need to be addressed, there is a chance that some of them may slip through the cracks. That’s when a follow-up reminder service like Followup.cc comes to save the day. Use the Followup.cc addon with Mailbird, to schedule follow-up reminders through emails. best email client

2. Do More with Attachments

Mailbird has specific features that make it easy for you to deal with attachments. Attachment Search Forgotten that design image you sent your colleague the other day? Or looking for that important PDF white paper that you read ages ago? Instead of rummaging through your inbox, just run a quick search through the Attachment Search feature on Mailbird. Simply enter a partial file name and the feature runs through all your attachments to find the most relevant one. This is one of our most appreciated features by users. best email client   Attachment Preview Afraid to open an email attachment from an unknown email address? Avoid the risk of downloading files from any mail app that could have potential viruses by using the Attachment Preview feature. This Mailbird feature allows you to take a look at the .pdf, .doc or .jpeg without opening the file. This feature also comes in handy for looking at large files without downloading them. Drag-and-drop feature When adding attachments, just drag and drop your file onto the composer window to create an attachment. You can even send the attachment in-line, by dropping it directly on the email. This is one of our most used features by users. best email client

Apps for Attachment Handling

Dropbox App We teamed up with Dropbox to help you deal with large attachments. Simply link your Dropbox account with Mailbird. Once you’re linked, you will be able to see a Dropbox icon at the bottom of the composer window. Access your Dropbox files directly from Mailbird and add them as an attachment to your mail. best email client   Degoo App An alternative to Dropbox, Degoo is a free data backup service that gives users an automatic, secure online backup. After installing the Degoo App in Mailbird, you will be able to see the app icon in the composer window. Drag and drop large files to the Degoo icon, to upload and attach them to your email. best email client

3. Customize your experience

Mailbird has plenty of features that allow you to customize the interface to just the way you like it! Another cool reason to use it rather than just the web version of an email app. Background Colors & Themes One click is all it takes to change the entire Mailbird email client color scheme.  Love Captain Kirk? Well, now you can upload your favorite photos as a background theme! best email client Here are some more cool custom photo themes that you can try out. Give your eyes a rest with the full dark theme. Perfect for pulling an all-nighter. best email client   Custom Layouts Small screen? 3 column? Preview? No matter how you prefer to check and manage your inbox, Mailbird can suit your needs with its custom interface feature.  This enables you to have the ideal workspace for your screen size. best email client   Personalized Signatures best email client Email signatures are underrated. They are primarily an online business card. A well-designed signature can help drive traffic to your website and promote your brand. Create professional email signatures with Formswift. Just fill in your contact details and choose a design, and this app generates a cool signature that you can copy. More Custom Options Customize the email notification sound in your email accounts by uploading any audio you wish. Be notified of new emails by the Super Mario coin sound effect, lightsaber or even the entire Star Wars theme!  You can also edit your welcome message – we suggest some motivational quotes before you start your day. All our personalization features are available in our free version.

4. Declutter your Mail

Unified Inbox One inbox, multiple email accounts.  Mailbird makes it easy to manage emails from multiple accounts with its unified inbox. It also makes it easy to understand which account the email was sent to, and which email account you are sending from when replying or composing. Multiple email accounts are shown with your name and email address linked to it. How do you know what email comes from which email accounts? Unified Color Indicators. Distinguish your multiple email accounts with hundreds of color options. best email client   Note: Try turning off your two-factor authentication if you are experiencing any issues when connecting Gmail accounts. Keeping two-factor authentication switched on may interfere with the connecting process. Snooze Feature There are two kinds of people – those who like their inbox down to zero, and those who mark emails as unread in their inbox so that they can get to them later. It is just a matter of your outlook towards email inboxes. Keeping this in mind, we developed the ‘Snooze’ feature.   best email client Don’t have enough time to respond to your mail? Do it later. Snooze your emails and get a reminder to get back to them tomorrow, next week, whenever. Snoozed emails are automatically sent to the Snooze folder. Perfect for those who prefer a clean inbox.

5. Manage your contacts with ease

We understand what your contacts mean to you. These crucial contacts keep your business and personal connections thriving. That is why we spent a year perfecting our ridiculously awesome contacts feature. Contacts Syncing Here’s how Contacts Syncing works. Import all contacts from your multiple accounts in Google and Outlook. The Mailbird email client imports contacts from Outlook and Thunderbird email accounts at the click of a button. Agree to proceed permissions. And within 20 seconds all your contacts should show up on screen. Linking Duplicate Contacts After the sync, you might find some duplicates. Simply link those contacts together to unify them into one entry. best email client   In some cases, you might find contacts that are not 100% identical. For example, a contact may have differently spelled first names in two entries. You can go to the unified contact and check the first name you would like to display in the contact. Copying Contacts Just like Outlook, Mailbird allows you to create contact groups. You might want to copy certain contacts from one of your email accounts to another email account.  To make things easy for you when you choose Mailbird email client for managing your multiple accounts and contacts, we have taken the time to make it so you can drag & drop contact entries to any contact group or email accounts you want using the copying contacts feature in our email app. best email client

6. Save time with Nifty Shortcuts

What makes Mailbird the best email client for people in a hurry? Shortcuts. Tons of them. Keyboard Shortcuts Fly through your inbox with dozens of keyboard shortcuts. Open and close windows, report spam, archive, compose, send emails and more with a few touches. We believe that the Quick Compose shortcut is the best one. Just hit Ctrl + Alt + Space, and the Mailbird compose window will be brought to the front. best email client We understand that it would be tough to memorize all of these shortcuts. So we created some cool Windows desktop backgrounds to help you remember a wide array of shortcuts. Quick Action Bar Don’t like shortcuts? Mailbird’s Quick Action Bar shows a menu next to the sender’s picture that lets you archive, snooze, reply, forward, delete an email, mark as important, star or mark as spam, all with a few mouse clicks. best email client   Speed Reader Reading emails takes too long. We spend around 2.5 hours each day reading, processing and sending emails – losing valuable time in the process. So how do you quicken this process? By speed reading of course. Increase your reading speed by at least 3x using the Mailbird Email Speed Reader. The Reader displays one word at a time – quickly zipping through the long email. Mailbird is the only free email client with a built-in speed reading feature. Still not sure? Read more about this feature on TechCrunch.

7. Communicate effectively

Let’s face it. There is one thing emails suck at – helping teams brainstorm and collaborate. But that doesn’t mean Mailbird can’t help your team work over email. Appear.in App To solve the collaboration-over-email problem we teamed with the good folks at Appear.in. The app allows you to create ‘rooms’ and hop on a group call with your team members. You can also browse through your mail and attachments during a video conference call. The best part? You don’t have to install additional software. Veeting Room App best email client Veeting Rooms is a virtual meeting environment that allows users to have a virtual business meeting right from within Mailbird. Just like an office meeting, no unauthorized person will be able to listen to your important conversations. All audio and video communication are end-to-end encrypted between the participants. So what can you do in these virtual meetings?
  • Upload Documents- Always be prepared for the meeting. Upload all the necessary documents before the meeting. After the meeting, you receive an email with important documents that were discussed in the meeting.
  • Use the Whiteboard– Brainstorm with your participants with the interactive whiteboard. Use shapes or even draw freehand to create flowcharts or diagrams. All slides can be downloaded as PDF for future reference.

Mailbird fuses these tools so that you can use them all at the same time. Asana Integration Asana is a handy project-management tool that allows you to organize and plan workflows, projects, and more easily.  The App also appears in a handy sidebar format – so you can see your tasks for the day while browsing your email. From grocery lists to errands, to important tasks, you can keep a checklist for everything!  Mailbird has a few cool to-do list apps in the Mailbird App Store to help you get more organized. Moo.do App Moo.do turns your email client into a real to-do list that you can organize, prioritize and schedule right alongside all your projects and tasks. You can also drag and drop emails that are relevant to set-tasks. best email client     Todoist App An alternative to Moo.do, Todoist helps you organize your daily tasks. Don’t forget to add a few additional instructions along with the tasks. best email client   Evernote Integration Let’s say you receive a long email. To make sense of it, you may want to break it down into smaller points or subtasks.  How can you save those points in a note or a memo for easy access? We teamed up with Evernote to create a seamless app that organizes all of your notes, documents, and files. Here’s what you can do with our Evernote integration:
  • Collect, store, share content on social media via ‘Notebooks’
  • Organize your notes through tags
  • Create to-do list and memos

All of these apps function just as they would do in a normal browser. best email client   Say Goodbye to your Browser (temporarily)! Taking a break? Mailbird is now accepting Bitcoin payments on the website

Mailbird has decided to join the ranks of many other progressive companies, and start accepting Bitcoin payments on the website. Online payment options have changed the way companies conduct business transactions with their clients and customers so much, that almost every online order is fast and straightforward these days. All you have to do is click a few times on the dashboard, and you’re done. We came a long way from PayPal and Square, instead, we now focus on Bitcoin transactions and payments. Accepting bitcoins is similar to accepting foreign currencies, but our primary goal is to give our clients more payment options, and of course a high-quality business email client. For all free or low-cost business email providers there, Mailbird is also a great low-cost option for desktop email clients as this is one of the main reasons why existing businesses choose Mailbird over the competition!

What is Bitcoin exactly?

For those of you who are not familiar with the term and the development of Bitcoin, we’re here to clarify it. Bitcoin is a cryptocurrency, a form of virtual cash you can use to purchase items or services from companies that accept bitcoin payments on the website.   The main reasons the Bitcoin is different from other fiat currencies like dollars, euros or pounds, is decentralisation and no bank interference in the flow. Of course, as with any goods on the market, bitcoins are traded on exchanges, and they have a value that can be measured in fiat currencies. They are also kept in special crypto wallets, which you can use to pay for online transactions or buy/sell on the crypto exchange. Many people wonder how Bitcoin became a mega sensation in the world, and it’s because of the big boom on cryptocurrency exchanges that happened at the end of 2017 when the price reached USD 20,000 for 1 Bitcoin. In only nine short years, crypto enthusiasts and brokers saw the potential of the coin and the blockchain technology behind it, and managed to turn it into a high-profit investment. That’s how people started engaging in the crypto world. This year, we started seeing legal regulation and government support from some countries like China, Sweden and prominent companies accepting crypto as part of their payment options. Mailbird is now one of those companies.

Why should you pay in Bitcoins?

Our only goal is to give you a choice, and if you want, you can use it. We believe that Bitcoins are the payment option of the future, and we like to get a head start in the race. For you, as a buyer, the fact that there are no banks and thus no fees can be one of the reasons you should consider paying in Bitcoins. Each transaction is publicly verified by the peer-to-peer community network, which means they are generally safe for both sides. Furthermore, if you don’t want to to go through a third-party bank, credit card company or PayPal, Bitcoins might be your best payment option after all.

The benefits of using Mailbird

While we’re on the subject of payment options, we might focus on why you should choose Mailbird, our Windows-based desktop email client. If you’re a business owner, who needs to manage multiple email accounts, then email clients should be an essential part of your company’s email management policy. Mailbird has integrated almost all favourite productivity apps like Asana, Slack, Google Apps, Dropbox, Degoo, Moo.do, Todoist and many more, so your employees won’t have to switch between apps all the time. Another fantastic feature you can use is our native contact manager, which syncs all your important contact details of people you communicate with via email, from all the different accounts in one place. Now let’s talk productivity features. We have a unique attachment search that allows you to browse through received files without opening emails, so you don’t have to waste your precious time. You can also search through your contacts through profile pictures, Linkedin or avatars, without ever leaving the email client window. Our quick action bar is also handy if you want to perform an action without opening an email. The inline reply will keep all threads super clean and easy to follow for everyone, which is the most essential part of every B2B communication. You can snooze emails, perform a quick preview of attachments or use our speed reader when you’re swamped with work and you need to get things done fast.  Our unified inbox even has colour indicators that will help you tell what email comes from what account. However, the best part about Mailbird is the customisation. You can choose your own theme (even a Star Wars one if you’re a fan), message sound and background. Mailbird also comes with multi-language support for approximately 17 languages.   To get the idea of all these benefits in action that keep your communication efficiencies in check, watch this video HERE that details all these core innovative features in Mailbird. Choosing the right email client is a crucial decision, like selecting an email provider, or a professional email address for your business. They add value to your company’s brand, save you time and boost your team’s productivity in the long run. Moreover, you can now pay in Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash for the best email client for Windows, if you wish for more security, autonomy and freedom on managing payments for online goods and services.

A list of all the prominent companies that accept Bitcoin payments

Do you know that since January 2018, KFC Canada has launched a limited time offer known as “The Bitcoin Bucket”? The bucket contained chicken tenders and waffle fries for the price of $20 worth of bitcoin. It sold out pretty quickly, too. KFC was probably dipping its toes in the water with this offer, and the possibility for KFC to become a company that accepts bitcoin payments is enormous. Soon after, Subway followed the example of KFC and put a limited offer on the table, which included bitcoin payments. However, this was more of a franchisees decision. You can find a few shops around the U.S. (Altoona, PA) and Buenos Aires in Argentina, which accept Bitcoins as a form of payment.  OKCupid, the popular dating site, and Etsy, the popular e-commerce site, also allow bitcoin payments. This a list of the more prominent online retailers that accept Bitcoins:
  • Microsoft allows you to deposit bitcoins in your account, which you can use to buy games, movies and apps in the Windows and Xbox stores.
  • Overstock.com, since January 2014; other than bitcoins, they also accept ethereum, litecoin, dash, monero and the new bitcoin cash.
  • Expedia since June 2014; you can pay for the hotel bookings with bitcoins.
  • eGifter allows you to purchase gift certificates for Amazon, JCPenny, Sephora, Home Depot, Kohls and more.
  • The electronic retail giant Newegg is included.
  • The e-commerce platform Shopify, since November of 2013.
  • The Internet service provider Dish Network, since August 2014; Dish is the first subscription-based TV provider that started accepting bitcoin.
  • Roadway Moving Company, since the end of 2017.
  • PizzaForCoins accepts bitcoins and 45 other cryptocurrencies. They connect you with Dominos, Pizza Hut or Papa John’s, and let you pay in crypto.
  • Reeds Jewelers in 13 states across the U.S. accept bitcoins.
  • Gyft allows you to buy in bitcoins for their gift cards, which are valid in Target, Sephora, CVS Pharmacy, Whole Foods, Hotels.com, Southwest Airlines and more.
  • CheapAir has accepted bitcoins since 2013.

Why are there so many sites that accept Bitcoin as payment in emerging markets?

Sites that accept Bitcoin as payment are emerging all over the world, almost all the time, because business owners finally saw the benefits from this payment method. Here at Mailbird, we weighed the pros and the cons and decided to go for it, because the pros were far more valuable than the cons in this particular situation. Bitcoin payments enable customers all over the world, even the ones that don’t have a bank account or PayPal, but have access to the internet, to purchase services and products without any restrictions. The traditional methods of payment are no longer holding the reign in the virtual world. When it comes to large payment amounts, which need extra time to clear when the money is transferred through banks, Bitcoin makes them instantaneous. Another great benefit is that a specific country’s exchange rate does not bind cryptocurrencies, but they are recognised almost everywhere in the world. This makes them a great payment option for users and business alike. For international e-commerce companies, the Bitcoin can be a game changer. Millennials tend to love Bitcoin because they see it as the “way of the future”. Furthermore, as a demographic, they like the simplicity and anonymity of the online transaction, which can help any business to appeal to this crowd. Adding another payment option, such as Bitcoin, is a prudent financial decision for any company that wishes to achieve higher conversion rates. Of course, there are also clients that feel safer when they pay with crypto, instead of the more traditional methods like PayPal and credit cards.

What companies accept Bitcoin as payment? – A profile

Another segment of this article is our profile on “What companies accept bitcoin as payment?” During our decision making at Mailbird, we wanted to know more about companies that feature crypto before we added the Bitcoin payment option. We’re going to share our knowledge with you here. First of all, these are companies that are open to new technologies, and at the same time are customer-centric. The logic behind this is very simple: if a client wants to pay with Bitcoin, he/she should. As we said above, the convenience and anonymity of cryptocurrencies give some customers a sense of safety. If we take the nature of the Bitcoin into consideration, which is virtual is natural for online stores and online business in the general to be a better fit than regular retail stores. There are large companies like American Express, Facebook, Alibaba, Walt Disney, IBM, Ford, Goldman Sachs, Amazon, Siemens, Intel, Mercedez, Samsung, Toyota, Apple and many more that are exploring and investing in blockchain technology and transactions. This is a sign that the Bitcoin and the tech that made it possible are here to stay and make an impact. Jumping on the bandwagon earlier rather than later can be a smart choice in this hyper virtual climate. Of course, as with any business decision, there are some drawbacks involved, which tells us that the companies that accept bitcoins tend to be more ambitious on the market. The main issue is the volatility of the coin on the exchange, although the price has stabilised in the last year without too many drastic fluctuations. Since the writing of this article, the price of the bitcoin is $6,544.79.

Online stores that accept Bitcoin payments are the “future of e-commerce”

You will hear many experts and enthusiasts in the cryptocurrency field say that online stores that accept bitcoin payments are the “future of e-commerce”, and they might be right. So many small business and international corporations started accommodating customers with the bitcoin payment option that it seems like the market is catching up with the crypto fans and traders. If you own a crypto wallet (and you must have one if you have Bitcoins), then you can pay with bitcoins at any online company that provides you with the option, like Mailbird. In the words of the famous Peter Diamandis, founder and chairman of the X Prize Foundation: “At its core, Bitcoin is a smart currency, designed by very forward-thinking engineers. It eliminates the need for banks, gets rid of credit card fees, currency exchange fees, money transfer fees, and reduces the need for lawyers in transitions… all good things.” Mailbird is a company that takes pride in the high-tech product we created, and we keep on improving and updating all the time for our users. When Bitcoin became somewhat of a tech revolution, we wanted to give you the option to use them for another great technology, our desktop email client. Our decision to accept bitcoin payments on the website was made for our customers so that we can provide them with yet another viable payment option. For all free or low-cost business email providers there, Mailbird is also a great low-cost option for desktop email clients as this is one of the main reasons why existing businesses choose Mailbird over the competition!

Are you a current eM Client user? Did you come to the end of your 30-day trial, only to discover that you have to register a license? For some, that’s enough to turn them away from  eM Client altogether. Maybe you have more than two email accounts and the fee per device for a Pro upgrade is too steep for you. Whatever your reason for ditching or avoiding  eM Client, we’ve rounded up the best alternatives to this email client on Windows to help you find the perfect option for you.

Best Alternatives to eM Client for Windows

Mailbird

Previously named the Best Email Client by Windows Report for 2017, Mailbird is an all-in-one email client that aims to create the smoothest user interface while also giving users the ability to customize their experience. From connecting accounts to syncing contacts and calendars to importing emails, the Mailbird setup process is so easy, most people thoroughly understand the email app within 5 Minutes. Plus, Mailbird supports native integration with tons of third-party applications to create a truly one-stop-shop for all of your organizational and communication needs. Mailbird also offers a Business product. To get more information and details on the different Business options, simply fill in the form on the Mailbird Business page. A notable feature of Mailbird is the Unified Inbox. It lets you mange all your emails from all your different email accounts in one inbox. In order to easily distinguish and manage your emails, Mailbird’s Unified Inbox now has color coding as seen in the image below. The free version supports limited accounts, while you can have unlimited accounts with a Pro upgrade.

What makes Mailbird a great alternative to eM Client?

Pros Cons
  • Manage Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and other IMAP and POP3 accounts in one unified inbox with color indicators for better organization
  • Connects with a huge library of third-party apps, such as Facebook, Twitter, WhatsApp, Google Calendar, Trello, Asana, Evernote, Slack and more
  • Sleek user interface that balances customization with intuitive design
  • Advanced Contacts Management – Sync, Merge and Link all contacts from different email providers and manage them seamlessly in one place
  • Snooze emails and contacts until you’re ready to respond at a later time
  • Color-coded inline reply feature to streamline responses
  • Mailbird accepts Bitcoin payment options
  • Tagging Feature to add new recipients to an email with only one click
  • Drag&Drop of attachments – even large attachments can be sent using Degoo
  • Attachment Search – super feature that needs to be activated in the App section. Lets you search by attachment rather than by email
  • Mailbird does not (yet) support other Operating Systems such as Mac or Linux

Did Mailbird convince you?

Postbox

One feature that all email clients mentioned here share is a slick, polished user interface. Postbox is no exception. The experience is clean and simple, with a fast setup process that works with any POP/IMAP account. A highlight of the Postbox experience is the search function—it’s speed and intelligent capture of results makes it a strong eM Client alternative. Postbox also has numerous features to help you better organize your email, including coloring rules based on specific filters, filing via folders, marking emails as to-dos and tagging messages by topics (similar to Gmail’s labels). You can also group your email accounts into categories such as “work” and “personal”. There are a few drawbacks to Postbox, however. For example, it does not support a calendar integration. While you can set up events in iCloud Calendar, Google Calendar or Lightning, it is not fully integrated. The same goes for social network integration, which exists but is lacking full functionality. Perhaps the biggest downside of Postbox is that there is no free version; you can try it for free for 30 days, after which it will cost you about $40 per license.
Pros Cons
  • Simple and elegant user interface design and fast setup for any POP/IMAP accounts
  • Advanced and quick search feature with filtering options for searches
  • Group email accounts into categories or view in one unified inbox
  • Organize email via highlighting, folders, to-dos, topics and archiving
  • Email signature templates and canned replies
  • Integrates with services like Evernote, Slack, Todoist and more
  • Works on Windows and MacOS
  • No free version; $40 per license (although the license is by user, so it can be used across multiple devices for one user)
  • No calendar integration, weak social media integration and task management is rudimentary

Claws Mail

Claws Mail has recently been making waves in the email client industry due to its open-source nature and powerful filtering capabilities. For someone receiving a horde of emails on a daily or weekly basis, Claws Mail is unrivaled for keeping messages organized. It’s also commended for its speed and customization options. What Claws Mail has in filtering features, it lacks in user experience. The interface looks a bit antiquated and isn’t as clean as other alternatives to eM Client on this list. The setup is also a little more complicated, as it doesn’t support automatic setup for Gmail, Yahoo and Outlook accounts. For new or inexperienced users, Claws Mail probably isn’t the best solution; however, for anyone with lots of personal and work accounts—Claws Mail allows for an unlimited number of accounts—it’s a great tool.
Pro Cons
  • Open-source project allows for an ever-growing library of tools and add-ons
  • Supports an unlimited number of email accounts
  • Advanced message filtering and sorting capabilities by flag color, sender, age, phrase, and more to make inbox zero an achievable goal
  • Highly-regarded for its speed and flexibility
  • No automatic setup for population email accounts (i.e., Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook)
  • Less intuitive user interface design
  • No calendar tool
  • Not available for MacOS

Conclusion

While  eM Client is a highly-rated and effective email client, it’s not for everyone. There are several notable alternatives with a comparable user experience and similar integrations and features. It will be up to you to determine what’s important to your needs. Is two accounts not enough for you, but you still want a free option?  Is user interface most important to you? Then Mailbird or Postbox will be the better alternatives for you i.e.. Either way, if you’re unsatisfied with  eM Client, don’t fret! One of these options will likely work out great for you.

Effective Ways to Target Customers Using Email Marketing in 2019

Email marketing is when companies target large markets by sending commercial messages through the electronic mail. When an effective strategy is put in place, successful email marketing leads to brand awareness, customer loyalty, and highly personalized content. In its broadest sense, it is mainly used for the purpose of enhancing the customer-business relationship. In the following article we will describe some effective ways to target customers using email marketing. An effective email marketing campaign and strategy can beguile potential prospects, leads, and consumers, concurrently increasing the return on investment of the business.

Attractive headline

The only way content can stimulate sales is when it is visible. It can only be seen when it is opened and it can only be opened when it is attractive. A good headline can bring forth positive rewards. According to Taylor Glass, CMO of SolidEssay, consumer behavior is dependent on the attention a tag line sends across. A certain amount of attention is necessary for information to be perceived for it to activate people’s senses. Based on research, 47% of people select the emails they open or not, depending on the subject line. Crafting attractive headlines should be grounded on the ability of the content to meet the consumers’ needs. The subject line should communicate the functionality of the message and drive curiosity and urgency to potential clients. The headline should be short, language-friendly, concise and personalized. Implementing consumerism tactics in emails in the consumer-driven world is one of the ways to boost any business.

Market segmentation

Mass marketing relies on the one-size-fits-all strategy that makes customers feel like a number on that customer’s list. Segmenting the market types allows marketers to target specific consumer needs and preferences. Customizing emails to suit a consumer’s individualism, location and activities are predominant in contributing to the success of a business. Marketing automation software is used by marketers to create marketing tracks that deliver specific emails to customers with specific interest. Generating leads in email marketing is realized when emails become relevant to the recipients. By gating your content, segmenting emails according to behavioral patterns, demographics and sales cycle and position in the sales funnel, and heeding to consumer email engagement, leads and traffic generation is promoted in any business.

Email Marketing Segmentation

Targeting inactive customers is an email marketing strategy that fosters trust and customer loyalty. Marketers should acquire information on the consumers’ thoughts and ideas in order to attune the emails to their wants. Patricia Alonzo, Head of the Marketing and Development Division at ConfidentWriters, states that tailoring your message to the list of subscribers who are not engaged, is a good tactic to spur your subscribers into action. Popular methods to get this segments’ attention are to send them polls, contests, and more discount-laden messages.

Optimize call to action

Acquiring the target customers and getting them to click and open the emails is not as difficult as making consumers respond to the call to action. Call to action (CTA) is a button that takes the user to a link with further information on the advertised brand. A CTA that is compelling to the reader increases the chances of a click-through by 28% as studies have shown. Providing offers, creating urgency and being creative in the choice of verbs and formatting features will boost the excitement of a reader.  A good call to action directs the email recipient to free trials page since most consumers will go for the ‘try before you buy’ sales strategy. Email marketing campaigns should incorporate a call to action that is instructional and visible. Response rates improve once the buttons are visible regardless of whether the subscriber has their images turned on or off.

The universality of the email as a marketing medium cannot be ignored. As demonstrated in this article, email marketing is the fastest and most common consumer-driven marketing strategy compared to traditional forms. It is one of the ways people are embracing technology to boost their return on investment. This article exhaustively outlines the benefits of email marketing in promoting brand awareness and ways customers can be targeted to contribute to the success of a business.
